About the Author
HitRECord founder and director Joseph Gordon-Levitt’s acting career has managed to garner a massive popular appeal while maintaining a widely respected artistic integrity. He recently starred in Christopher Nolan’s Academy Award-nominated Inception and received Golden Globe, Independent Spirit and People’s Choice award nominations for his performance in (500) Days of Summer. Currently earning rave reviews for his performance in 50/50, also starring Seth Rogen, his upcoming films include David Koepp actioner Premium Rush and Rian Johnson’s sci-fi thriller Looper, with Bruce Willis. He is currently in production on The Dark Knight Rises, the third installment in Christopher Nolan’s Batman trilogy, and will next begin work opposite Daniel Day Lewis in Steven Spielberg’s Abraham Lincoln biopic, Lincoln.

I love this tiny book. The 128 pages are like a series of well paced centerfold avant-garde theater and curtains open and close with the flip of each page. The storytelling is punctual, but unlike punch lines, they are surprisingly eloquent and provocative. Texts and images compliment each other in a 1+1>2 way, leaving a complex aftertaste that begs to be re-savored. I also want to compliment on the built quality of this physical object that fits in my palm, the weight, binding and coloring are simply top notch.

Tiny in size but the creativity contained within this small volume never ceases to amaze me.

I’ve had the luxury of reading and reviewing both volumes one and two so when I had the opportunity to review this new volume, how could I refuse?
Once again, hitRECord, founded by Joseph Gordon-Levitt has put together another collection of amazing stories which happen to be only one or two pages long. The beauty of this project is that anyone can join the community and submit their work for a chance to be included in the next volume.
This is a fun book and would make a nice gift. I have all three and they do look great on my shelf. Most are simple black and white line drawings but there are shots of color here and there. I really enjoy them and love that artists everywhere, have the opportunity to be published through this project.

Sweet book

The collaborative concept behind hitrecord is brilliant on its own, and the fact that you can have a physical example of the connected work is great! The cover is really sweet and has a nice touch to it, as well as the tiny size. Lovely!
